CHEVAUX MENU ANGLAIS

We chose our mares in 3 different breedings.
The younger is only 4 years old and will had its first foal at mid-july.
The others have between 5 and 13 years old.

The choose of the mares is very important because carrying the foal during 11 months and she must to be in very good condition physical and mental.
The Americans breeders guided us in the selection of these mares and we don't regret having trusted them. They are very soft, no problem of adaptation at the breeding after the travel and in perfect health.
They are going in out all the days in the fields, return the evening to the stable for to have their food and the hay. They like very much the human contact.
The boxes are large, lighted, with trough, water and the litter is of hemp, except in period of foaling or the ground is mulched to prevent that the foal inhales the hemp.

The choice of the stallions is also very important because he had more impact on he quality of the breeding than the mare. Therefore, we selected them with much care, compared to the origines of our mares in order to avoid consanguinity on the one hand and so that they bring qualities complementary to their offspring.
They result from 2 famous American breedings for the quality of their products and their professionalism as well in show as in harnessing.
